March 24, 2010

Trex is a new modular lighting system and the latest creation from Karim Rashid for lighting distributor Itre. The unique form factor of each Trex, gives you the ability to create a wall of light made up of triangular and hexagonal shapes which can easily be reconfigured, thus creating the perfect atmosphere for any situation. Each Trex lamp has a soft aesthetic and utilizes efficient eco-friendly circline fluorescent bulbs, one 22 watt and one 40 watt. Trex is made from heat-formed acrylic, and designed with a three way spine creating its contours that exaggerate light and shadow across the lamps surface. The ease of assembly and application make Trex a perfect addition to any wall, ceiling or table. Check it here.
